Kathy & Dave Updates
I'm sure many rumors have started since Dave & I decided to leave The Pines Speedway, but we wanted you to know the reason for our departure is simply a "conflict in personalities." It was very unfortunate, but it happens. We'd like to thank all the drivers, crews, family members, kids and fans for giving us years of great memories and laughs.....always race safe! Thank You....
For those of you who didn't know, Dave and I went to NYC over 4th of July weekend and we had a great time! I finaly got to "ground zero" and after 1 and a half hours we got to top of the Empire State Building. My aunt and uncle joined us along with a cousins and their children. When we reached to top of the Empire State Building, Dave brought me to East side of the building and explained to me what I was looking at... strait ahead was where I grew up and to each side of me was where Italy, Scotland and Ireland was....these are our (Dave and I) heritages. Dave then turned to me and asked me to marry him!!! Of course the answer was YES! This was a dream proposal for me. I never thought in a million years I'd get to experience such a wonder engagement. Dave had been planning this for many many months and with the help of family, he said it went just as planned. What you all may not know is that Dave is afraid of heights. He was 86 stories high, over 1100 feet, but he knew what this would mean to me so he held his breath and made it happen!!! Both of our families are very happy for us and can't wait for the big day!
Well that's it for now, we'll keep you up to date with things over here and eventually I will be starting a web page for Dave and I for all of you to go through.
By the way the wedding will be next year - and girls....my ring is spectacular!!!!!!!!!!! You'll be seeing us soon....take care - Tootles
